AUTHOR’S NOTE

LAVANYA was born while I was thinking about how a human being’s connection with life begins in the body.

For many years, I tried to understand human thoughts, emotions, bodily movements, and the behaviors people generate inside the events they live through. Over time, I saw that reaching information alone does not transform a person. We can learn a great deal about ourselves and still return to an old movement in the middle of life.

Change is not completed simply because knowledge exists in the mind.

The body needs to register what is being lived. A person needs to notice their own choice and allow that choice to become behavior.

This novel opened from that movement.

While writing LAVANYA, I was less interested in describing the technology of the future than in exploring how a human being’s relationship with technology might change the way life itself is lived. I began to think about what humanity might lose in a world where pain, uncertainty, and risk have been removed—and what happens to body, mind, and consciousness when choice is handed over to another system.

Then one connection became visible:

A human being does not only want to survive.

We want to feel that we are alive. To notice our own movement. To choose. To form connection with other living beings. To see what the behavior we generate creates inside our lives.
